www.vaulting.org.uk British Equestrian Vaulting (BEV) is the governing body for vaulting in the UK. Vaulting is a rapidly growing sport which can best be described as ‘gymnastics on a moving horse’. The horse is controlled by a lunger and moves in a 15 metre circle. Most exercises are performed at canter, although practising difficult manoeuvres and some fun classes are done at walk. If you'd like to give it a go there are numerous vaulting groups in Scotland, details of which can be found on the vaulting.org.uk website. You don't even need to know how to ride. |
